A reasonably old games company, known best for games like 3D Dotty and Tank Attack, they also had a succesful budget label called Blue Ribbon.

A Pacman clone, with an ingenious twist - this time it is on 3 levels. You can traverse the levels using ladders, but on each level there is a kind of snake which follows you around, and you cannot touch it or you die. This is a very difficult game, because there are so many dots to touch before you complete the level. It brings a whole new dimension (no pun intended) to the Pac Man game, and instead of being a boring clone it becomes a good game in its own right.

A tedious golf game, the graphics are ok, but the gameplay just sucks, it is extremely boring, and the whilst it looks pretty professional, gameplay is reduced to just selecting club and angle, neither of which seem to make much difference as to where the ball goes.

Interesting football game, based on a board game, this is for two players or more. I think it may even have been intended for play with a board game, you have to try and beat each other to the top of the league table. You dont really get to see any football action, just the results, but its an ok game really.

A VERY advanced game of Bridge, this one was intended really to be a bridge tutor, with tutorials included on the disk, but it also plays a very hard game. I'm not really into bridge, so I'll leave it at that!

Neat chess game, also with a 3D option for BBC Master computers. I think somewhere this won a competition between all the other BBC Micro variants of chess, and won.

Football Manager style game, you have to wheel and deal, choosing the squad, buying and selling players. It is pretty good fun, although the match view leaves a little to be desired, there is little information. There is quite a bit of depth to it as well, maintaining the finances of your club. Worth a play, almost as good as Addictive's Football Manager!

Quiz game obviously based on the Central TV series, its pretty good with the graphics looking well done and lots of questions to answer. The only problem is that the program asks you if you got the question right, so it is very easy to cheat, it would have been much better if gave you four options to choose from. This must have been one of their last games as it was released in 1989, almost at the death of the Beeb games market.

Back in the ages when the boy was actually winning things, Blue Ribbon made a little snooker game and got the snooker king to endorse it with his name. Its ok, but not exactly championship material, the best of a bad bunch you may say, well most people say that but I prefer Acornsoft Snooker. The graphics are nice enough, but the worst thing is that the balls do not react properly when hit.

Contains, Bridge, Chess, Backgammon Domino Out, Fives and Threes, Poker, Pontoon, Wordsearch. They are all pretty competent versions, and the Chess and Bridge are cut-down programs from the Colossus 4 series.
