Romik

Based in Slough, and with Alien Break In responsible for one of the most varied and expansive Invaders clones seen on any 8-bit machine - even if the theme tune does make you want to kill people. Birds of Prey - like ABI written by Clive Webster - also offers variations on a well-worn theme (here Galaxians).

Alien Break In

Highly polished shoot-em-up, with a touch of Space Invaders, a dab of Galaga and just a pinch of Galaxians. This is a rather fine cocktail and will keep you wanting more and more. The graphics are pretty cool, and the sound is also nice, it is a great game to play, among the top Shoot-em-ups in my opinion.

Atom Smasher

Odd game in which you have to destroy atoms by ridding them of the positrons and electrons. It's very odd and not that well done, the graphics are strictly average and it is very repetitive.

This is a competent version of Galaxians/Space Invaders, its not bad, but there are so many better versions for the Beeb.

A rather nifty adventure game with graphics, it is quite complicated, and the graphics are nice. It also has a good story-line, and although the text is not as detailed as most people would like it does have the advantage that the graphics describe the scene anyway.

Weetabix Versus The Titchies

Free game given away with a Weetabix promotion! This is the only free gift game on the Beeb that I know of. You are one of the Weetabix and you have to shoot the titchies with missiles, its really space invaders apart from the fact you have to keep running around picking up more missiles to fire. Not too bad for a free game really!
