Softspot

One of a whole gaggle of Essex companies, and to date the only one I've ever encountered which went as far as insisting your BBC had to have the 6522 chip on its circuit board! Generally its games were technically very competent and there were some pretty original ideas in use, nowhere more so than in Transistor's Revenge. The ultra-cute Fruity Freddy is fondly remembered also.

This is a total rip-off of Uncle Claud by Alligata, the game is almost exactly the same (perhaps they licensed it?), the basic aim is to push the electrical items onto the conveyor belt whilst dodging the geek who follows you aorund shooting things at you. The graphics are nice, and the gameplay is original, it is actually quite a fun game once you get into it.

A nice little platform-like game where you have to collect fruit and avoid the bad guys. Its hardly original, but it is well put together. The graphics are nicely drawn and the whole thing looks a lot more professional than most other games.

A rip-off of the game Carosel by Acornsoft, the graphics are very similar, but not exactly the same, and the game play is identical. This version isn't as polished as the Acornsoft one, so go for that one instead.

A cool shoot-em-up game, you have to prevent the aliens from invading the CPU by firing bolts of electricity at them. Its a great idea for a shoot-em-up and gets extremely frantic as you progress!!! The graphics are good if a bit boring, but the whole thing is certainly worth a few plays!
