Very prolific Chesterfield independent, although actually finding any of their many games nowadays is a pretty tall order. This was the firm that famously used to take out full-page ads in Acorn User, only to fill them with hand-scrawled impressions of how their games looked on screen rather than real screen shots! Packaging was similarly uninspired - each game simply bearing the Kansas logo in a different colour. To be fair Pinball Arcade is a pretty durable piece of software, and remains the easiest Kansas game to trace.

A Star Striker style game, this is not as good as Superiors effort, if only because it looks so badly designed. The layouts of the aliens are less varied, the graphics not up to standard, basically it just isn't good enough to make you prefer playing it!

A basic text adventure, you have to get off of Dracula Island before being caught by Dracula. The text is quite atmospheric, and the game isn't actually all that bad, but it isn't anything special either! If you like text adventures, then this is a good game to play.

Fairly large and advanced text adventure in which you are on a quest to join the adventurers guild - to do this you have to kill a very powerful dragon. Its done in mode 7 and is very detailed for a beeb adventure, its parser is also quite advanced, this is quite an impressive game.

An appalling flight simulator sort of game, this is very uncontrollable, and even if you do manage to get the plane under control, there isn't much to do, it says you have to shoot enemy planes, but I've never seen any! The graphcis are simple lines, and what is annoying about them is their constant flickering. This is definitly no match for Acornsofts Aviator!

Another adventure from Kansas - this is not as good as Ferryman Awaits, not as descriptive, it does have an interesting storyline however. You are a prisoner aboard the starship Goliath, one day you wake up to find it abandoned, you have to find out why it is abandoned and how to get back home - its mode 7 and brightly coloured, not a bad game.

A fairly average shoot-em-up, with a lot of varied monsters, the graphics are ok, nothing very inventive here, but it is at least playable. The only annoying thing is the fact that the ship you control moves very slowly and at times it is nearly impossible to get out of the way of the creatures.
