Probably the only Geordie software company ever! These guys really did make some good games, they specialised in the sports area, but also made some other games as well. Most of their sports games are to do with athletics or football, they never really made any others.
Please contact me if you have any additional information about the company or its games!

This is a very bland game, you are in control of an alien pod, and have to shoot the missiles which come across the screen, which is actually 3 physical screens wide. It is quite boring, all you have to do, is wait for a missile to come along, and shoot it, then make sure your fuel doesn't run out, if it is running out, then head back to base! The graphics are ok, nothing special, but it just seems so out of character for a Tynesoft game!

Very early Tynesoft game - and not really very good at all. It revolves around the brickies from Newcaslte in Germany going about what builders do best. The graphics aren't really very good and you'd be hard pushed to understand what the whole thing is all about anyway!

The licensed game of the brilliant film, this doesn't quite live up to the film itself. It is a driving game, if you've played Chase HQ, then you'll know what I'm talking about, and you get to control the car, you play Axel Rose. You have to shoto a number of different vehicles off the road. The worst thing about it is that it the roads are completely empt apart from the odd car, and when one does come along, all you do is shoot it and continue! The graphics are not bad, bur the colours used are horrible!

The inspiration for Repton, although on the BBC this game actually got converted by Tynesoft after Repton had become a smash hit. With smaller sprites and less technical puzzles this is definitely not better than Repton, but it does play well and there are some good graphical effects added. Repton could have been much less of a success if this was released earlier, play it an see.

This was mostly available on the Electron only, and contains some interesting games, it was one of the last released for the Electron. Shooting features heavily, its a good set of games, in contrast to the sporting collections they mainly produced. Graphics are fairly good, up to the usual Tynesoft standard.

Another Tynesoft great, this one is made up of lots of little sub-games, its great fun and provides plenty of keyboard bashing! (which is ok on an emulator, but the beeb keyboard are getting on a bit now!)

A good athletics game, the graphics are neat, there is a wide variety of events, swimming, running, shot put, and more. The graphics are in the low-res mode, but are colourful and very clear. The only thing is that it is too hard to win some of the events, with all that finger tapping you actually feel as if you are running the race yourself! Strong finger muscles required!

One of the only non-sports games, this is a graphics adventure, yuo are a bouncy little object, and have to go around doing the normal adventure game stuff. Not bad, but it just doesn't have the interest level to keep you going. The graphics are up to Tynesofts' usual standards, but graphics alone do not make a game.
